By creating an account or using HorrorGen ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the operator of HorrorGen.

2. What HorrorGen Does

HorrorGen is an AI-powered tool that generates horror scripts, narration voiceovers, and short-form videos using third-party AI services (Anthropic, ElevenLabs, fal.ai) and licensed stock footage (Pexels). You provide creative direction; we generate the content.

3. Your Account

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription & Billing

HorrorGen offers a free tier and a Pro subscription billed monthly. By subscribing to Pro you agree to the following:

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
• You may cancel anytime via your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds on monthly subscription charges except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use HorrorGen to generate content that:

• Is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction where it will be published
• Depicts or promotes real-world violence against specific individuals
• Sexualises minors in any way
• Is designed to harass, threaten, or defame a real person
• Infringes on third-party intellectual property rights

We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice or refund.

7. Ownership of Generated Content

Scripts, voiceovers, and videos generated using HorrorGen are yours to use for personal and commercial purposes, including publication on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. We do not claim ownership of your generated content. However, we are not liable for third-party claims arising from your use of generated content.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep HorrorGen available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for lost content, missed deadlines, or revenue loss resulting from downtime or errors.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using HorrorGen you consent to the data practices described there.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email.
